How We Research Prop Firm Technology

Prop Firm Vendors is built as a B2B decision resource. Our methodology is designed to separate provider-published facts, contract evidence, discrepancies, arithmetic and our analysis rather than turning every vendor claim into a ranking point.

Primary-source preference

We prioritize official provider pricing, product, integration, terms, contract, FAQ and documentation pages for vendor-specific claims. Third-party sources may help discovery or context but should not override clearer first-party commercial evidence without a reason.

Evidence hierarchy

  1. Governing contract/order/SLA evidence where available.
  2. Official terms and technical documentation.
  3. Official pricing/product/integration pages.
  4. Official case studies/testimonials, clearly treated as provider-supplied evidence.
  5. Third-party context, separately attributed.

We preserve discrepancies

If two official pages disagree, we do not silently choose the number that makes a cleaner table. We flag the conflict and recommend written clarification. Examples in our current research include capacity/pricing inconsistencies in some provider material.

Provider claims vs independent findings

Launch time, uptime, customer count, migration success and similar claims are attributed to the provider unless independently verified. We do not say “we tested” a platform unless we actually performed the relevant test.

Arithmetic vs forecasts

When we multiply a published monthly fee by 12 or divide a fixed fee by a trader count, we label it as simple arithmetic. We do not turn that calculation into an earnings or total-cost claim without the missing inputs.

Commercial model normalization

We preserve original currencies and billing units. Revenue share, net-profit share, credits, accounts and active traders are not treated as equivalent. Our buyer data dictionary documents these distinctions.

Verification dates

Time-sensitive pricing and product pages are tied to the current research cycle. Buyers should obtain a dated proposal because vendors can change pricing, tiers and features after publication.

Quality threshold for new pages

We prefer pages that add one of four things: verified provider data, original comparison/normalization, a concrete procurement framework, or a specific high-intent decision use case. We avoid publishing thin pages that merely paraphrase a keyword.

Affiliate independence

Prop Firm Vendors may earn affiliate or referral compensation. Partnership status does not determine factual inclusion, research conclusions or automatic matching. Where commercial relationships create a relevant disclosure, we disclose them.

Corrections

Provider information changes. Material corrections should update the affected comparison and supporting data rather than preserve a stale claim for SEO.
